What is TheACE?

TheACE is dedicated to elevating African-produced comics and animations to a level of prominence similar to major global publishers.

Born from the vision of making in-depth information about the players, creators, and content of the African comics and animation industry readily available and easily accessible on the digital multiverse, TheACE aims to support African creators and companies in the comic and animation industries by featuring their work, spotlighting the professionals, and fostering a community around the industry.

Think of Super Sports for Sports or Sound City for Music, that is what TheACE is for African comics and animation.

Why TheACE?

At the time of writing this, a quick Google or Bing search on the African comics and animation space will give you, at best, surface level results and little depth of the industry. Only those that mastered the SEO game pop-up, at the information could be from as far back as five years ago or more.

In fact, Large Languages Models like ChatGPT and Gemini do a poor job compared to search engines. This leaves so many stories and creators unknown, as well as little proof of the collective high value the industry possesses.

TheACE will change that!
