Following the success of its inaugural event in June, UK-based comics and books distribution company Bookause has announced a December edition of its Geek PopUp event. The event, which celebrates geek culture, will serve as a marketplace for comics, books, and collectibles, while hosting discussions and interactive activities for fans and creators alike.

Prominent names scheduled to appear include Tunji Anjorin, Co-founder of Panaramic Comics; New York Times bestselling author Michelle Hodkin; Ray Anyasi, comic book creator; Peter Daniel, CEO of Peda Comics Studio; Ibrahim Ganiyu of ICStudios; and Jide Martins of Comic Republic. The event will also feature exhibitions, panel discussions, and creative competitions.
Highlights include a cosplay contest, where participants can compete for a cash prize of ₦50,000, and a flash fiction writing competition offering a $150 reward. These activities are aimed at fostering engagement and showcasing the creativity of attendees.

Geek PopUp is part of Bookhause’s efforts to create a platform where authors, artists, and publishers can interact directly with their audiences. Further details, including competition guidelines and ticketing information, can be found on the Bookhause website.
