Comic Republic, a leading African comic book publisher, is set to unveil several new issues from its popular comic series, with a range of highly anticipated titles slated for release throughout the year.
One of the most eagerly awaited launches is "Jean Jane & Coma," which will be released on October 23, 2024. This new addition to the Comic Republic lineup promises to captivate readers with its innovative storytelling and compelling characters.
Meanwhile, fans of science fiction will be thrilled by the release of the tenth issue of Galactic Core on October 9, 2024. This action-packed series, which has developed a loyal following, currently boasts nine riveting issues. These include storylines such as “Introducing the Galaxy’s Steadfast Protectors,” “Genesys' Traumatic Past,” “Invasion,” “The Grand Executioner Appears,” “Victory from the Jaws of Defeat,” “The City of Natal,” “Homecoming,” “A Traitor Amongst Us,” and “Psyche to Devour.”
In another significant release, the second issue of Chibok will be published on December 11, 2024. This series commemorates the tragic abduction of the Chibok girls by Boko Haram in 2014 and continues to serve as a poignant reflection on one of Africa’s most heart-wrenching stories.
For enthusiasts of African fantasy, Dark, a collection of multiple comic stories, will be released on October 13, 2024. This compilation features popular titles including Aje #2.5, Amadioha #1, Visionary #2, Avonome #9, Eni #4, and Aje #3.
Another standout from the Comic Republic lineup is the upcoming eighth issue of Hero Generation, set for release on November 27, 2024. This series, known for its exploration of themes such as heroism, sacrifice, and familial ties, continues to capture the imagination of its readers. Previous issues have delved into gripping narratives such as “Faith Inspires a New Generation of Heroes,” “An Era for Extreme Measures,” and “Three Heroes, Different Pasts, One Goal.”
On November 13, 2024, Comic Republic will also debut the fifth issue of Metalla. This series tackles powerful themes of justice, sacrifice, and survival, with prior installments including “Vengeance Will Suffice,” “The 13th Mandate,” “Banner of Equality, Liberty, and Justice,” and “Conflict, Sacrifice, Justice, and Survival.”
Rounding out the year, the fourteenth issue of Hero Kekere is scheduled for release on December 25, 2024. This beloved superhero-themed comic has delivered a blend of humour and action over its previous thirteen issues, with notable stories such as “Superhero Jollof,” “The Great Holiday Mystery,” and “Action Komik Part 1.”
