Renowned creative artist, educator, and culture advocate Ibrahim Adeola Ganiyu, popularly known as Sirgai, is set to celebrate his 49th birthday through the unveiling of ISEDA: A Journey of Creativity. The landmark exhibition, scheduled for November 28, 2025, at Orange Academy, Ikeja, promises an immersive exploration of over two decades of Sirgai’s creative evolution, mentorship, and cultural impact.
ISEDA, which translates to “Creation”, will spotlight the breadth of Sirgai’s work across illustration, visual storytelling, design, and creative education. The exhibition will showcase selected works from his client projects, collaborations with students and mentees, conceptual designs, storyboards, and sketches that chart his growth as one of Nigeria’s leading creative voices.
“This exhibition is not just about my personal journey, it’s about the people who have shaped and shared it with me,” Sirgai said. “ISEDA is a tribute to the students, clients, collaborators, and creative friends whose stories are interwoven with mine.”

Beyond the exhibition, the event will also introduce the AKIIKAH Foundation for Creative Development and Economic Empowerment of Nigerian Youths, a non-profit organisation founded by Sirgai to foster creativity and self-sufficiency among young Nigerians. The foundation aims to train and empower emerging talents in comics, illustration, design, and storytelling, while promoting cultural preservation through art and digital innovation.
Through AKIIKAH, Sirgai envisions a platform where creativity becomes both a means of self-expression and a sustainable economic pathway. The foundation’s programmes will centre on technical training, cultural advocacy, and production-based empowerment initiatives.
Organisers have called for brands, creative institutions, and individuals to partner with the project and support its long-term mission of nurturing the next generation of Nigerian creatives. Supporters will be acknowledged across all event communications and during the green carpet session at the venue.
